Research, preparation and acceptance of WWF position on seawater desalination. Subsequent report Making Water received wide international coverage as first non-industry survey of desalination worldwide. (2007)


Research and write WWF report Rich Countries, Poor Water, a first overview of water issues in developed nations. Report received extensive international media coverage. (2006)

Project advice and text preparation for UN Human Rights Commission on project to mark end of first International Decade for
Indigenous Peoples. (2005)

Contributed to WWF package on sustainable development for World
Summit and WWF briefs for G-8 meeting.

Media liaison for the International Congress of Entomology, a major international scientific symposium held every four years. ICE 2004 brought around 2500 international scientists and 500 Australian scientists together in Brisbane, Australia. Melaleuca Media achieved extensive coverage of this event in the week of the Olympics and in competition with National Science Week.

Contract writing of case studies on landcare, NAP and NHT projects for Cox Inall, which is performing a consultancy on these areas for the Federal Departments of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Department of Environment and Heritage.(2004)

Co-authoring Facing the Future, the report on the Australian component of the Mining, Minerals and Sustainable Development project . This project entailed presentation and extensive consultation on a draft report and doing the media liaison for, writing speeches for and assisting with the Australian launch of the report. The report was one of five regional reports for the international project which was the major component of the Global Mining Initiative. (2001-02)

Investigating property marketing abuses for the Queensland government and assisting with stakeholder consultation on reform proposals. Report Two tier property marketing in Queensland tabled in state Parliament. (1999)

Assisting the Uniting Care Centre for Social Justice with the successful launch of their report on Family Homelessness in Queensland. (2003)

Writing Future Proofing, an agenda setting report for the World Wide Fund for Nature and the Humane Society International. (2002)

Editing The Brisbane Line, on-line publication of The Brisbane Institute and promoting Brisbane Institute events. (2000-2002)

Writing Biodiversity: A Politicians Guide to Biodiversity for the National Biodiversity Council via Environment Australia. (1998)

Assisting the Climate Action Network with media liaison for the launch of their Biodiversity and Climate Change report. (2002)
